What You Need to Know About Your Nissan Key Fob

Make sure that the positive face of your new battery faces in the same direction it did with the original one. Close the battery compartment, and then return the secret key back to its concealed place within the case.
Remote Start

Lockout Protection
Lockout protection prevents nuisance lockouts caused by impedance relay failure. A special module within the power control monitors impedance relay activity, and turns off the output. This feature is only available on vehicles that have the Smart Key system or through the personalization menu for the vehicle.
Many serious accidents have occurred because a machine was turned on when it should have been shut off for maintenance or repair. These accidents are usually caused by energy that has not been released correctly. Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO), which ensures that machines are shut off until an authorized individual releases them, helps avoid these types of accidents.
The LOTO system consists of a number of locks, tags, and other devices to isolate, secure, or block a device from an electric source. All "affected" and "authorized" personnel should be trained on the use of these lockout/tag-out devices. These devices include, but aren't only restricted to locks, chains and padlocks. Each device is uniquely identified and labeled, including the date and time that it was used as well as the name and title of the person authorized, and the purpose of the lockout or tagout (repairs, maintenance and maintenance, etc.). It must be stated clearly that these devices will not be removed until the LOTO procedure is complete.
